DAY 4 FOCUS: FAVOUR ME O LORD
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 3 And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
4 And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
5 Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
6 Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!
7 And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually
2 Samuel 9:3-7
INSIGHT: Today we are on focusing favour. We are going to be praying that in this time and season we will step into unprecedented realm of favour in the name of Jesus.
Jesus grew in two dimensional favour.
Bible in Luke 2:52 said that "Jesus grew in favour with God and man." Favour was so important for Jesus while on earth and in like manner it is important in our lives.
What is favour?
1. Favor is the flavor that Savor the Labour of life.
2. Favour reduces your Labour in life.
3. Favour makes you acquire that which is not met to be acquired at that time
4. Favour eradicates the odour in a persons life
5. Favour is God's colour on your effort.
Our anchor Scripture revealed the of a man called Mephibosheth. Three events occured in his life: First, he lost his father as a child. This means that his source (father) was cut off. Secondly, while been whisked away from been killed he fell and became lame. That means his motion and speed in life was tampered with. Thirdly, he lived from hand to mouth. He lived struggling to survive and at the mercy of people. Instead of living in the palace, he was living in the backside of town. Until one day David showed him favour of God.
Mephibosheth struggled in disfavour for a very long time. Disfavour is what causes prolonged labour, it makes people older than their age without result to prove. Disfavour causes rejection and lack of acceptance. It is the secret to many frustrations, heartbreak and can cause untimely death. The life of a man begins to detoriates when favour is absent.
Many today are living behind their real personality and below who God created them to be, because of the absence of favour, but in the name of Jesus no matter the incidence (s) that has happened in your life before now that has made you a shadow of your true identity, favour is locating you nowand bringing you to the place of honour, abundance and rest in Jesus' Name.
THREE THINGS FAVOUR DID FOR MEPHIBOSHETH
1. Favour caused the king to remember him
2. Favour took him from the position of abandonement to honour and recognition.
3. Favour caused the restoration of all things for him.
I decree that this three effects of favour shows up in your life in Jesus' Name.
Finally, the favour of decorates your life, gives you acceptance in places where others are abandoned or rejected. Favour can give you marital breakthrough (as seen in Esther and Ruth). Favour can be warfare tool and an equipment for defence (Psalms 5:12)
I see you and this commission obtaining favour with God, favour with men, favour with institutions, individuals, and governments in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS
1. O Lord i thank You for my welfare and wellbeing in Jesus' Name.
2. I confess and repent of any sin in my life in Jesus' Name.
3. Thou divine wind that blow Joseph, Esther and Daniel to their correct destinies, blow over me in Jesus' Name.
4. O Lord, i grow in favour with You and with men in Jesus' Name.
5. All you invisible marks and labels of rejection and disfavour on any part of my body, be blotted out by the blood of Jesus.
6. By the force of favour let my helpers begin to think of me and look for me now in Jesus' Name.
7. You garment of disfavour that the enemy use in covering me, my business and my glory, i command you to catch fire now in Jesus' Name
8. My Father, my Helper i decree today that where others have been rejected, I shall be accepted, where they’ve been abused and condemned, I shall be praised and commended, where they’ve failed, I shall succeed, and where they’ve been tolerated, I shall be celebrated because of God’s aroma of favour on me.
9. Favour of God, create strategic vacancies for me
10. You spirit of disfavour that advertise my errors to people and hide my good from people i command you out of my life now in Jesus' name
11. Father! Anoint me with the oil of favour in Jesus' Name
12. O Lord open the channels of uncommon favour upon me in this month of Kingdom Advance in Jesus' Name.
